eGFR is a calculated number, there are formula’s available on the internet to calculate it yourself but an eGFR should be greater than 60, and lower demonstrates kidney disease. When your kidney’s start to fail you don’t feel pain like you are experiencing, that type of pain shows up with a kidney infection or passing a kidney stone.Your GFR glomerular filtration rate is also involves a calculation

LAURA YOUR KIDNEYS ARE FUNCTIONING NORMALLY so please stop freaking out. Have you told your Dr about this new pain? If you haven’t you need to so it can be investigated and you can not be so worried. I went through this and even being an RN, it terrified me also, so for peace of mind just go. You can also buy test strips where you dip it in your urine it will show you if there is any blood,protein , bacteria in your urine.
What is going on with your injury? Are you receivng any treatment at all for pain.? You need to get your shoulder repaired. When your body is not in a correct state of alignment it just causes just about everything to hurt. I’m stating that based on my own personal experience and how much better I felt after I had the surgery. Even putting your arm in a sling helps.
