Ugh im super undone as well as haven’t altered the approach ive eaten so because have been my levels being realistic (ive had the cold these past couples days could which have anything to do with it) Please i need a little recommendation upon ways which could may be assistance or only a little recommendation to keep me going!! :-(

  1. Honey, you’re not getting enough medical advice from your doctor because what you are describing is completely NORMAL. Pregnancy hormones are the reason you develop GD in the first place, and they increase as you get farther along in your pregnancy, making your medication requirements increase and your blood sugars harder to control.

You can eat the same thing 5 days in a row and have it get higher each day if the hormones are increasing that week. My endocrinologist gave me a pamphlet that has a chart of how much medication you need as the pregnancy goes along. By the third trimester it goes up up up.

Yes, having a cold is also a factor but as a diabetic, unless it’s a full-on fever kind of cold they don’t raise my blood sugars.

What you need to do is contact your doctor, explain that your levels are rising even though you are complying with the diet, and get in to get your medication levels re-evaluated.

  2. My dr told me sometimes the pregnancy hormones make it near impossible to control it. I seemed to not have a problem, thankfully. hopefully the rest of ur pregnancy will go more smoothly. I do know that the best thing u can do for u and ur baby is keep those sugar levels under control those numbers do’t seem that high just watch out. Good luck to u
