I go spped skating/rollerskating each friday since we only adore you do it though i get distressing blisters as well as we am a sort 1 diabetic disposed to infections…I hang my feet in healing fasten as well as really thick hosiery though i still get blisters in a same mark upon a desk pad of my feet next my large toe…anything we can do or put upon it to forestall it?

Because of the Diabetes first you need to talk to the doc to see if this is a symptom of that.
Next lets just say that the tape and thick socks are doing you more harm on the bottom of the foot. If you can wrap your foot so much and be wearing thick socks, your boot is too loose and you should be looking to getting a different one. Also socks should never be made of cotton because they do not do well for moisture and cause more blisters than a synthetic one with some lycra in it.
Next lets look at technique. It could be very well that you are a toe flicker. By that I mean that you are pushing off with your toes at the end of the outward stroke. As you know this is sin #1 in speed skating and is the first thing to work on to achieve speed. Concentrate on pushing through your heal only. Do not be tempted to give it that little extra push with your toes. It will take around 7 to 10 hours of practice to burn this into your natural motor skill to where it will be happening on its own. An indication of toe flicking would be the your wheels will wear down faster on the inside of the front wheel much faster than the others.
In the meantime if the blister is smaller than a half dollar, you can build up the surrounding area with a adhesive round pad that is sold as a "nonmedicated corn pad" that comes in packages of six. You just stick it on and this will help take the pressure off the exact spot where you are having the problem.
Do talk to coach if you are doing a group speed session, or try to find an inline club/group meet in your area. There will be skaters there who have had lots of experience with this.
Make sure that you’re boosting your immune system with vitamins. Next, try putting cypress oil on your feet (you can usually get it at a health food store–not GNC, it is an essential oil.) this helps with the circulation.
Next, lay off the tape. I’m a nurse and tape alone can tear the skin. — in the hospital we even have a special paper tape for old people with frail skin, just because of how much tape damages the skin.
if you feel you must use something, try an ankle brace instead, the kind that slips on, not the wrap around kind.
moderation with skating, and don’t wear small shoes
