diabetic diet

i am type 2 diabetic and had R great toenail removed due to ingrown..NOW after 11 days it still hurts?

i have seen podiatrist as well as he pronounced infrequently where he put 3 haughtiness blocks it can be tough to heal. i cant wear the sealed shoe though it hurts underneath my toe as well as low inside. no signs of infection per md as well as we have to rouse all the time to keep it from flourishing to the indicate of not being means to hook my toes upon which foot. is it since i am type2 the receiving the whilst to heal? Or do we think something else ? Driving me nuts

    Suggestions:
  1. In general, diabetics usually take longer to heal.
I have neuropathy in my feet/toes which is EXTREMELY painful, [ nerve damage]

I would maybe get a second opinion, it’s your body, and better to be safe, that sorry, you know ?!

Good Luck and Good Health :)

  2. I had both of my big toenails removed a couple of years ago because of nasty infections and ingrowns and I got them chemically burned to not grow back. I know they bugged me for a little while but if you didn’t get a chemical burn or anything like that then the nerves are probably growing back and causing pain. I would say they will probably bug you for another week since we do heal slower than others. Just keep them clean and keep elevating them. I would get them checked out again if they don’t start feeling better in a week. Sorry you have to go through this but good luck!!!

  3. I agree w/the first answer.
