I had great success doing EXACTLY what you are doing now, and even for the same foundation. I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 18 years and was diagnosed as a child. We got a local pool hall to hold a tournament for us – $25 entry fee, $100 to the winner. (The pool hall even gave us $5 pitchers that night, instead of the usual price.) We also held a very large dance, with the sponsorship of a local DJ, charged $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Our city let us use their event center for free. We sold chips, popcorn, & drinks for $1 each. We purchased them at Sam’s Club for quite a bit less than that, and made a HUGE revenue.

Try put your group’s objects to sell on E-bay. We did that for our Son’s school for school auction. But E-bay will have to check you out to be sure you are not fraud or scam. They will contact the research foundation of juvenile diabetes out on your group. At E-bay,They have every organization in file already to know if its legitimate or not. If your tell its truth of what your group are doing for the cause of make better lives of young children with diabetes then- Try the idea on E-bay. But, I cannot guarantee you anything.

Telephone marathons:Go through the phone directory: calling local residents and especially businesses asking for donations. See how much a t-shirt company will charge you for 20 shirts with the cause on it somehow–4(small)4(Med)4(Lg)4XL. Give those out to the first 20 people who contribute $100 or more.
Fax News Releases to all the local radio ans newspaper businesses informing people of your Event and where to send donations or call for more info.
Make on your computer the info for flyers and take to Kinko’s and print 1000. Staple them all over where people are. Or envelopes with the address printed on them tacked to community billboards, so people can stick $5 in it and mail it.
You can stand outside Wal-Marts or K-marts and ask for donations.
There. How’s that for starters?

quit feeding your children the junk food of thr far right and their corporate companys of take , their religous test in their temptation board game, created junk food with no substance of inviromental health, only profits over human needs……….you don’t need money to say no………we split whole food into a fake loaf of artifical prented food , with the sweetness of hype……..throw their corn sweetners back in the door of the advertisers profit headquarters…….don’t be weak to the chorus of want

welll…all u really need to do is to work 2 jobs…..and ofcourse cut out the alcohol and save the money…..u could also work extra hours or if u don’t have a job….get ur bott up and work…all the hard work pays off…u will get what u want seriously
