I’ll be a comparison in tall propagandize as well as I’m a small shaken about removing in to Boston College, my preferred propagandize as of right now. How does it look? What alternative schools in a Boston/NYC/D.C. area do we consider we should demeanour during (none in Philadelphia please, I’m perplexing to get out of here!) judging from a following:
Personal information:
White, Catholic masculine requesting as Finance major
Academic:
- 4.20 GPA (weighted)
- Rank: twenty-eight of 366 (7.6%)
- All honors classes given beginner year
4 AP classes:
- US Comparative Government (Scored 4)
- Human Geography (5)
- European History (4)
- Statistics (4)
- Will go upon to take modernized classes in to comparison year (AP Chem, AP US History)
Test Scores:
- SAT Critical Reading: 630
- SAT Math: 620
- SAT Writing: 670
(non-split score)
- ACT + Writing: Have nonetheless to take these nonetheless (assume we embrace a 28, my SATs "translate" to about a 30, so I’ll be regressive here)
- Subject tests: not taken nonetheless (may not submit, depending upon ACT scores)
Activities:
- Work 10 hrs/wk as lifeguard
- Tennis Grade 11/12
- Track Grade 9
- Cross Country Grade 9/10
- Walk for Juvenile Diabetes
- One alternative classification whose name slips my thoughts right now
Those have been a core things colleges demeanour at, which we can remember. Thanks for your help! You can be brutally honest with me.

Excellent shot at BC.
The gold standard US News and World Reports rankings lists the following within the top 50 for National Universities and LACs within greater Boston metro area:
Harvard
MIT
Brandeis
Boston College
Wellesley
Holy Cross
Tufts
Your GPA is strong and class rank is also very high for BC.
AP scores are decent but not spectacular except the 5 in HG ( very hard to pull off)
I think the main deal killer will be your SATs: as an Finance Major the SAT mathmatics score you received is on the lower end especially with top notch business schools like BC(Great feeder school for Stern School of Bus.) Activities are nothing special except the life guard job. Especially if you plan on applying Early Action, I would recommend you take the ACT in Sept. and the SAT in October aiming to break 2000( CR 650+, M 700+, W 650+).
Other schools to look into are :
NYU (Stern)
USC (Marshall)
Rutgers
U of Notre Dame
Brandeis
