There are 3 suggestions to question “What are symptoms of a diabetic attack?”

  1. Hello !
Patient with low sugar shows following symptoms:
    Lightheadedness,
    Dizziness,
    Cold sweats,
    Cold extremities,
    Weakness,
    Delirium (talking nonsense)
    Black out.

These are symptoms in order of progression.

Feel free to ask if you have any further querry.

    Regards,
    Dr. Zeeshan Chattha.

  2. There is NO "Diabetic Attack". Diabetes is with you 24/7/365. YOU make it better or worse by controlling your diet, controlling your exercise, controlling your weight, and taking your medications.

there IS a symptom called HYPOGLYCEMIA. This occurs when the blood sugar is TOO LOW. This is NOT usually a problem with diabetics, ad diabetes means blood sugar TOO HIGH.

Nut if the diabetic patient takes too much medicine, or eats too little foods, there blood sugar will go too low, and they have a Hypoglycemic Attack.

These feel like being drunk. You get light-headed and dizzy. Your vision gets blurry. People often get very nervous, both mentally and physically.

From the outside, it DOES appear that the person is drunk. They talk silly, and often rapidly. they might sweat a lot. They will shake. if they ar driving they will bobble and weave, and maybe hit things.

For realism’s sake, YOU need to know that there is NO Diabetic Attack. The attack is called Hypoglycemic Attack.

First Rule of Professional Writing: Write about what you know about.

  3. Gary B I think the last sentence of your response was very mean. She may not be writing about what she knows, but you should have done some proof reading of your answer before you slammed her. I’m not trying to be mean to you, just pointing out that you should have not been so mean to her. You brought up several valid points about hypoglycemia and I hope it helps with her story writing. There is too much criticism and hate in this world as it is; we need to encourage others and be supportive. In any event, i hope you both have a wonderful holiday season. Good luck with the story you are writing. Let’s all be nice to each other!
